Kampot Beach

Introduction

Cambodia is one of the very few countries who have two wind seasons In South East Asia. Cambodia Kiteboarding has operated out of Villa Vedici riverside resort in Kampot for the past twelve years. IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) is the world’s leading kitesurfing organization, specializing in education, promoting safe practices and enhancing the highest standards and guidelines for the industry. 

Location

Lessons are held on the Kampong Bay estuary, 7 km’s down river from Kampot town and offering stunning views of Bokor mountain and Phu Quoc island.
It’s a very safe area for teaching, it’s a big bay with shallow, warm water. You will have plenty of room for making mistakes, not worrying about other kiters around you.

Weather

Cambodia is one of the very few countries who have two wind seasons In South East Asia. The windy season starting from December until March, after this the wind changes direction to onshore and runs from April to early October.

Tuk Tuk

To get to the kite beach by Tuk Tuk from town cost $7 (one way) 
This option is only available in the non-rainy season.

Speedboat

We leave directly from Villa Vedici to the kite beach $10 (both ways).

Longtail boat

We leave directly from Villa Vedici to the kite beach $10 (both ways) 
We use this transportation when we have more then 5 people.

Jungle Jet

This option needs to book in advance $20 (both ways) 
For those who want to ride in style and do a 360 rotation on the way for some more adrenaline pumping.
